BYOK stands for "Bring Your Own Keys." Instead of us buying Twilio/SendGrid credits in bulk and marking them up (like every other platform does), you connect your own provider account directly. You pay Twilio about $0.0083 per SMS segment (plus carrier fees) instead of a platform charging you $0.03-0.05. Provider rates and additional charges vary.
A contact is a unique person in your database with a phone number and/or email. If the same person is on 5 different lists, they still count as 1 contact. We don't double-count.

A sender identity is a phone number (for SMS) or email address (for email) that you send from. Growth includes 3 phone numbers and 3 email sender identities per workspace, Pro gives you 10, and Scale is unlimited. Most businesses start with 1 of each and upgrade as they add more brands or departments.
Sub-accounts are isolated workspaces within your Scale plan. Each sub-account has its own contacts, campaigns, credentials, opt-out lists, and reporting. Perfect for marketing agencies managing multiple brands — keep client data completely separate while billing rolls up to your parent account. Scale includes 3 workspaces total (your main workspace plus 2 others) and 4 users total, including the owner. Contact allowances are shared across all workspaces. Additional workspaces cost $39/month each and additional users cost $15/month each.
You can still import contacts, but new campaigns and polls for that channel will be blocked until you remove contacts or upgrade. Campaigns already sending will finish. Automations pause after the next daily limit check and resume automatically once you're back within your allowance.
Opted-out contacts count toward your allowance and cannot be deleted.
